TRUESTEAD LAW
Our Story

Justice Runs in This Family.

Before it was our tagline, it was our raising. Here's what that means for yours.

The Standard We Were Raised On

There's a story every Florida lawyer should know. A judge in Jacksonville — a real one, from the 1960s — spent years receiving death threats in the mail. His offense? Ruling that Florida's schools, pools, and streets belonged to every Floridian who lived here. The Governor of Florida pushed back; the judge threatened him with contempt, and the governor stood down. They'd called that judge "Cowboy" since his ranch-hand days — and cowboys, as the story goes, don't spook. Today, a federal courthouse in Jacksonville carries his name: Simpson.

We're a fifth-generation Florida family. We grew up on stories like that one — stories where the measure of a lawyer isn't the marble in the lobby. It's a simpler question: when the pressure comes, do they hold?

"When it gets ugly — and it does get ugly — you want the lawyer who doesn't spook."
The Truestead standard

That's the inheritance this firm runs on. Not connections. Not marble. A standard: show up prepared, tell clients the truth, and hold the line when the other side is counting on you to fold.

Why That Matters to You

Every person who calls this firm is in a pressure moment. An insurance company slow-walking you after a crash. A closing that could quietly cost your family six figures. Parents aging without a plan while everyone's afraid to bring it up. In those moments, credentials matter — Arthur Simpson is a Florida Bar attorney and Certified International Property Specialist — but what you're really hiring is behavior under pressure.

Our family's history in this state is our answer to that question, given in advance. We don't fold. We were raised not to.
